Why Study in Denmark
Denmark, a Nordic nation in Northern Europe, showcases stunning landscapes and a rich cultural heritage. Governed as a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary system, it boasts a strong economy driven by industries like manufacturing and renewable energy. With a focus on equality and sustainability, Denmark offers visitors historic landmarks, modern design, and renowned cuisine, alongside free public education and universal healthcare for its residents.
Quality Education Programs
In Denmark, tertiary attainment is becoming as common as upper secondary or post-secondary non-tertiary attainment among 25-64-year-olds. Approximately 42% of 25-64-year-olds in Denmark have tertiary education, surpassing the share with upper secondary or post-secondary non-tertiary education (40%)1. Additionally, Denmark hosts a significant number of international students, with 11% of all tertiary-level students being from abroad, higher than the OECD average of 6%. Most of these international students (83%) come from Europe2.
Multicultural Studying Environment
Danish society is characterized by a strong emphasis on equality and individualism. Danes take pride in their nation’s achievements and maintain a balanced approach to life, often described by the concept of ‘hygge’ – a cozy, harmonious state of being. This notion of ‘just right’ aligns with the Danish value of ‘Janteloven,’ emphasizing modesty and avoiding excessive self-promotion. Additionally, integrity is highly regarded in Denmark, with a commitment to transparency and trust in both personal and professional interactions.”
